Any Place but Here

Synopsis
Follows three psychiatric patients as they seek their release from hospital. Filmed at Creedmore Psychiatric Centre, New York, the documentary reveals the dissatisfaction of patients, staff and relations with the attempts to combat the institutionalisation of long-term hospital care. Whilst everyone agrees that these people ought to be living in the outside world, the community proves a hostile and unsympathetic environment for the lonely men and women trying to cope for themselves.
