Synopsis
A history of the Jewish ghetto in Warsaw from 1940 to 1945, concentrating on nine Jews who took part in the doomed revolt against the Nazis in April 1943. Concentrates on at the ghetto’s resistance movement but also covers its economy, relations with Poles and Germans, concerts and theatres, and even night clubs. Includes a 3-D representation of the ghetto in January 1942 based on photographs of the time, songs in Yiddish, 71 biographies, a timeline, and commentary.
