Hierarchical Phenomena Among Nursery Children

Synopsis
Systematic observation of infants in competitive situations through three consecutive years has revealed the existence of a genuine social hierarchy. Some children are dominant by their aggression, others by their acts of appeasement and an entire range of symbolics of behaviour. These are the leaders; the others are dominated. The film demonstrates, by graphs of urine analysis, that there is a correlation between social status and the suprarenal physiology of these children.
