Synopsis
The video is intended for pre-school workers and trainers. It consists of a debate between members of Liverpool’s Anti-racist Child Care Group on anti-racist child care strategies. Gives an insight into how black nursery workers and black parents feel about racism at this early stage of care and education. Covers the major strands of how racism affects white and black children and gives practical strategies for handling racist incidents. Shows how anti-racist strategies can be implemented. The video is best used with a group. Opens up areas of discussion on race at the pre-five stage and on the way racism affects young children.
