Handicap: Yours or Mine?

Synopsis
In order to address some of the prejudiced beliefs associated with mental handicap, the range of interests, abilities of mentally handicapped people is shown. Observation of a discussion group and direct interviews demonstrate their interest and ability to speak for themselves on issues which affect their lives. A general dental practitioner discusses and allays concerns expressed by dentists in relation to providing dental care for people with mental handicap, and demonstrates an approach which enables the mentally handicapped person to receive routine dental services.
