Grindabod

Synopsis
Shows something of the way of life on the Faroes, the group of islands midway between Scotland and Iceland. There is a long sequence on the slaughter of pilot whales by villagers who depend on the whales for meat to last through the winter. Whale-killing is now declining in importance and this documentary therefore has additional historical interest.
