Andean Women
- Synopsis
- Aymará women embody a common paradox. The cultural ideal is that women should be subservient to men, and assigned tasks appropriate to their inferior strength and intelligence. In fact, they perform many tasks vital to survival, yet see themselves only as ‘helpers’ in a male-dominated world.
