Synopsis
Looks at activities of the co-operative Women’s Guild, largely through the eyes of its members. The guild has been in existence for over a hundred years, and until the outbreak World War 2 it had tens of thousands of members, enriching the lives of largely working-class women of all ages. After the war membership started to decline and now, in the 1990s, many of the members are eldrrly and the very existence of the guild is in question.
