Foetal Attraction

Synopsis
Investigates a radical new theory on pregnancy and its complications, advanced by David Haig, and Australian biology, suggesting that the father’s genes are responsible for many of the illnesses and complications of pregnancy, and the foetus and mother are locked in a genetic struggle for control of the mother’s blood supply. This view offers an explanation for complications such as morning sickness, miscarriage, high blood pressure and diabetes, and it offers a new way of looking at childhood cancer.
