Synopsis
Asks if children learn more effectively if they receive pre-school education and suggests that we need statistics to evaluate such an effect. Looks at the Headstart project in the USA. Investigates the claims and analyses the outcomes of the small ongoing research project High/Scope, based in Ypsilanti, Michigan, which provides research datata from a long-term longitudinal study.
