Europe from Space

Synopsis

A selection of the LANDSAT imagery of Europe obtained between 1972 and 1977 (excluding the British Isles and the USSR). The scale and resolution of the imagery emphasises the spatial continuity of the physical and cultural landscapes within and between the major European states. The contrasting textures of individual regions are shown. Scenes are reproduced in either black and white or false colour according to the image band providing the highest quality resolution in detail.
