A collection of materials that use the promotional films of the ‘golden age of American industry’ top reveal the cultural values and social mores of this period of American history. Includes ‘lifestyle’ films made by companies such as Oldsmobile, Proctor & Gamble and Esso, looking at publicity for specific products and looking at suggestions for the new-found ‘leisure time’. ‘The Magic of Television’ and ‘Freud Would Love This One’ are tow inclusions.
