Allergic to the 20th Century
- Synopsis
- Asthma has reached epidemic proportions in the western world and is now increasing in the developing world. Scientistsbelieve the cause may be an allergic reaction to something in the 20th-century lifestyle. It appears that we all have short ‘window’ in our lives when we are most vulnerable to becoming asthmatic, and if we can reduce the risks of becoming sensitised during that time, we could improve our chances of escaping the epidemic.
