Eden Project , The

Synopsis
Describes the principle structures on the site of the Eden Project, an ongoing project in a disused quarry in Cornwall which is the largest plant enclosure in the world. It consists of a sequence of transparent domes providing two climatic zones, humid tropical and warm temperature (an arid zone is to follow); a building linking them; and a hilltop visitor centre. All the buildings were designed by Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners whose partner Andrew Whalley talks about the project.
