Synopsis
Every year we spend more on medical services and drugs yet our health is not improving - incurable cancer and cardiovascular and respiratory diseases shorten thousands of lives. The World Health Organisation is well known for its work int he Third World, but what can it do for the developed world? Looks at ways better health is being promoted through special projects in Lithuania, Spain and Wales, and how the education and affluent can control many of the factors causing ill health. Concludes that WHO is showing people a new vision of heath, one that is possible but difficult to attain.
