Algeria’s Hidden War

Synopsis
Armed Islamic groups in Algeria have killed more that 60 foreigners over the last year culminating in an order for tourists to leave or face death. The film reports on the conflict between Algeria’s military rulers and Islamic fundamentalists. Over 20,000 people have died in this largely unreported, hidden battle. Phil Rees is the first Western journalist to meet the armed Islamic groups and looks at the emerging threat of all-out civil war.
