Synopsis
Discusses the use of Doppler ultrasound in diagnostic and surgical practice. Shows various types of ultrasound techniques including ‘A’ mode and ‘B’ mode scanning, TM scanning etc. Discusses therapeutic ultrasound and demonstrates the first experiments by Doppler. Discusses Doppler’s method of measuring systolic pressure by Doppler and concludes with a description of MAVIS (Mobile Arterio-Venous Imaging System). Discusses pre-operative testing.
