Counselling Interview, The

Synopsis
Discusses counselling members of staff in the workplace. In three unscripted counselling interviews, Phillip Hodson, a professional counsellor, plays the part of the manager and knows no more before the filming than the manager would have known in the situation. The essential skills demonstrated are 1) finding the right time-place; 2) agreeing ground rules; 3) using open questions; 4) active listening and summarising; 5) forming tentative theories; 6) presenting choices.
