Synopsis
Shows a new approach to understanding the behaviour of crowds, focusing on the tensions and conflicts between the crowds and the authorities at the Notting Hill carnival. Also looks at how crowd violence is portrayed in the media. Discusses the ideas underpinning notions alluded to in the programme, such as collective mind, collective conflict and collective understandings.
