- Relates to the course textbook. Looks at how to generate realistic images with computer graphics and how to modify reality in a computer model. Section 5.1 HIDDEN SURFACE REMOVAL, RAY TRACING AND SHADOWS, forms a sequel to Section 2.1, using a ‘block world’ of polyhedral objects; 5.2 COMPONENTS OF REALITY looks at future development both in the generation of images and in the interpretation of reality, showing examples of computer-generated images of man-made objects.
