Christmas Under Fire
- Synopsis
- Quentin Reynolds’ second film despatch from London to America shows Christmas 1940, the year of the Blitz. By this time Ian Dalrymple was head of the GPO Film Unit which had been renamed the Crown Film Unit - the names Crown and GPO appeared together on the credits. The carols were sung by the choir of King’s College Chapel, Cambridge, the first time the choir had ever been filmed, and Dalrymple remembers that they did it because they thought it might be the last chance.
