Poets James Berry, David Dabydeen and Jackie Kay discuss the varied traditions of poetry in the Caribbean. The programme looks at two distinct strands of poetry - the oral and the literary - and discusses how this has affected poets writing in Britain. Includes performances of poetry by Michael Smith, Louise Bennett, Edward Brathwaite, Derek Walcott, and Linton Kwesi Johnson.
