Careful Predator, The

Synopsis
Describes a controversial experiment in Zimbabwe based on the view that wild animals should be brought back into contact with peasant farming communities to create a system which guarantees the survival of man and animals alike. Villagers are encouraging elephants, lions, leopards. giraffes, elands and impalas on to their grazing land. In exchange they receive food and income from a carefully controlled hunting industry. Hwange Game Park in the eastern extension of the Kalahari Desert and the Ghonarezhav National Park in south-east Zimbabwe are featured.*
