Body As Site

Synopsis

A recording of Rosemary Butcher’s ‘Body as Site’, performed in Guilford Cathedral on 30 January 1995. The dance is made up of four pieces, each choreographed within, and defined by, the boundaries of the environment created by a visual artist. Both dance and environment become an installation, offering a challenge to perceptions of conventional theatrical acts.
