Synopsis
Deals with the principles and constructional features of the transmission electron microscope, and in particular the imaging of dislocations. Develops around 100KeV and 1-MeV machines at Imperial College, London. Examines the relevance of dislocations leading to the use of the 100KeV machine. Shows the techniques of specimen preparation and some specimens are examined under the 1-MeV machine. Discusses general problems of electron microscopy and its future.
