Synopsis
A dramatisation using state-of-the-art visual techniques of Dante’s vision of hell, where figures from Dante’s own time mix with mythological and biblical characters as they suffer for their sins. Dante (narrated by Bob Peck) is guided physically by the Roman poet Virgil (John Gielgud) and spiritually by his life-long inspiration Beatrice (Joanne Whalley).
