Traumatised Children: A Juvenile Delinquent
- Synopsis
- Presents an account of a juvenile delinquent and his progress through secondary school and the following two years. The youth tells his own story, and his mother, teacher, youth worker and the police officer and probation officer assigned to his case are also interviewed. A solicitor, a magistrate and the head of a secure unit for young offenders also comment. The programme charts the youth’s failure to secure a stable life and illustrates the difficulties of effective professional intervention.
