A conversation between Martin Banham of the University of Leeds Theatre Workshop and Dr C E Bigsby of the School of English and American Studies, University of East Anglia. Side 1 discusses Stoppard’s work in relation to the Theatre of the Absurd focussing on ‘Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead’. The points made by the speakers are highlighted with excerpts from the play. Side 2 discusses the development of Stoppard’s moral stance with excerpts from ‘Jumpers’ and ‘Travesties’.
