Synopsis
Because animals’ eyes have evolved and adapted to meet their own special needs, their view of the world is often very different from humans’. Shows visualisations of the natural world through the eyes of a wide variety of animals, using special video techniques and up-to-date research. Includes a hovering kestrel’s view as it tries to focus on a field mouse on the ground below, a body-heat image of a desert mouse is seen through the infra-red sensors of a hunting rattlesnake, the colours actually seen by fish, and insects’ full-colour vision: blind to red, but capable of seing ultra-violet.
