These Are the Men
- Synopsis
- This film is almost unique in British Second World War film propaganda. Whereas films like HEART OF BRITAIN and BRITAIN AT BAY stress the importance of those qualities of British life that would be destroyed if the Germans invaded, this attacks the evils that the Nazis represented. English voice-overs are added to filmed speeches (mainly from TRIUMPH OF THE WILL) by Hitler, Goebbels, Goering, Streicher and Hess to make them seem to utter candid autobiographical accounts of evil motives and actions. The result is a powerful denunciation of the Nazi leadership.
