Biological Membranes: Physical Models; Reconstruction of Membrane Functions
- Synopsis
- Individual membrane functions depend on special membrane construction blocks among its proteins. A measuring cell is used to produce specific (reconstructed) endowed model membranes and to investigate their processes by determining changes in their selective permeability. Direct current resistance, complex capacitance, light reflection and absorption are also measured.
