Testing the Hearing of Infants and Young Children

Synopsis
Techniques and equipment to test hearing in infants and young children are discusses by two auiologist from the East Sussex County Council Services for the Hearing Impaired. Landmarks in hearing ability are related to general development and the particular tests are demonstrated on a number of children from age 8 months to 6 years. Tests demonstrated include distraction, co-operation, performance tests, audiometry and free-field audiometry.
