Technology at Work
- Synopsis
- Aims to help union members learn from each others’ experiences of tackling the introduction of new technology. Takes five case studies: Metal Box in Wisbech, DHSS offices in Brixton and Kensington, Cadbury’s in Somerdale, Tesco in Newton Abbot and the Sheffield Housing Department. The picture that emerges is one of regrading and demarcation, training, the threat to jobs and health and safety.
