Techno Stitch

Synopsis
Based on a 1996 exhibition held at the Oldham Art Gallery Computerised machine embroidery is mainly used for the mass production of embroidery on clothing and household textiles. This programme explores the potential for creative embroidery within a wider area using the latest software available for computerised embroidery. Includes diverse work by eight designers, makers and artists: Susan Telford, Melanie Miller, Grayson Perry, Mandy Wrightson, Alice Lee, Margot Rolf, Nigel Cheney, and Jane McKeating.
