Biofeedback: The Yoga of the West

Synopsis
Presents research findings of Dr Elmer Green and colleagues on the mind’s ability to control the body. Shows them testing Indian yogis who can stop their hearts at will, and a Dutch man who can skewer his arm and prevent pain, bleeding and infection. Shows their use of biofeedback training to help patients overcome disease, give prisoners a sense of self-mastery, and give ordinary people deeper insight into their subconscious.
