Swampdwellers, The

Synopsis
A film adaptation of the Wole Soyinka play, originally produced in London and directed and performed by Africans. It tells the story of a young man who becomes disillusioned with life in the city and returns to his native village, only to find that he is no longer able to tolerate the corruption, ignorance and superstition of rural life. disillusioned also by urban life, he is caught between conflicting cultures, unable to connect with either one.
