Synopsis
Using both traditional scholarship and an interpretation of ancient wall paintings, the video describes the type of contemporary stage on which Roman drama was first performed, documents the full-scale reconstruction of such a stage, and illustrates the rehearsal and presentation of a Roman comedy on it.
