Sleeping It off

Synopsis

Follows two former heroin addicts on a trip to Seville where they undergo an accelerated detoxification programme under anaesthetic, a treatment designed to cure them of their methodone dependency. Considers whether this controversial method, devised by the Spanish psychologist Dr Juan Legarda, might eventually be adopted by the NHS.
