Sheet Metal Work
- Synopsis
- Shows craftsmen in Sheffield taking sheet pewter through the stages required to produce a tankard, from the initial hand rolling and soldering to the lathed lip and base, before polishing and packaging. This manual process is compared to the production of a pair of stainless steel nutcrackers filmed at an engineering plant in Sheffield, where the human skills have been replaced by automation.
