Sand Casting

Synopsis
Follows the process of casting a church bell from the construction of the moulds through the pouring of the molten metal, to the release of the finished cast. Then examines precision sand casting in the making of an industrial component - an aluminium hopper housing. Great skill is required to make the moulds to precise measurements, and the pitfalls of carelessness are noted.
