- The stories of four teenage girls coming of age and the personal cost of this transition. A Nicaraguan girl is addicted to glue sniffing and is slipping into a life of prostitution; an Indian girl has been taken out of school and is waiting to be married off; a 14-year-old Jamaican girl is seven months pregnant; a Burkina Faso girl faces the prospect of female genital mutilation - a tradition the local women see as essential if women are to enter into married life.
