Synopsis
Two programmes following the election campaign in autumn 1998 in the 23rd District of California for the House of Representatives. The incumbent Democratic candidate, Lois Capps, opposed Republican Tom Bordornoro. The programme presents an inside picture of an American electoral campaign, allowing the viewer unique access to the pressures and demands of the closing stages of a closely fought contest.
