Synopsis
Introduces the Ball‚s pottery industry of Qena Governorate (north of Luxor) in Upper Egypt, illustrating the methods and materials used by the Egyptian marl potters of Deir-el-Gharbi, from the mining of the calcareous clay through all the stages of producing the water storage vessel (the Ball‚s jar) to the final distribution of the finished product.
