Pie and Mash

Synopsis

There are only two eel, pie and mash shops remaining in inner London which, for decades, formed part of east London’s lifestyle. Shows eels prepared and displayed for sale, kitchen staff making the pie and mash dishes, and meals being served to customers in the restaurant. Interviews with owners and customers. Filmed in May 1991.
