Synopsis
In Buddhism the purpose of eating is only to maintain one’s health for the self-enlightenment; hence the ritual of having meals, ‘Balwoo’ Gong-Yang, is part of the practice of Buddhism. The film explains the ritual and its embodiment of both spiritual and practical aspects of Buddhism. Covers the food, preparation, prayers and thanks, etiquette of eating, sharing of food, turning rice, cleaning the bowls, the basket of Chunsoo.
