Parched Land, The

Synopsis
Over 26 million people who live in the Sahel region of Africa are continually threatened by drought. Looks at how the shortage of water affected Gad Amar Fal, a small village in North Senegal. Examines various projects which have been introduced by Caritas Suisse and CAFOD. The director interviews people who are most concerned with irrigation and well-drilling projects to find out who will benefit and how much it will cost.
