- The series aims to help nurses perform more rapid and accurate assessments of the serious signs and symptoms regularly encountered in patients. Each video highlights three important areas for each symptom: 1) Focused assessment - live-action footage, audio, and 3-D animations show the inside fo the body to explore the abnormal sign or symptom in detail; Probable cause - shows how the results of the focused assessment may be linked to a specific cause and why other causes can be ruled out; Nursing interventions - shows the most important life-saving interventions.
