No Useful Purpose Would Be Served

Synopsis
Continues the account of the breach of the Rhodesian oil sanctions begun in LIABLE TO PROSECUTION. Looks more closely at the ‘cover-up’ attempts. The history of both Conservative and Labour Governments’ involvement in the betrayal as well as that of the oil companies is shown. Millions of pounds were spent on a blockade which was quietly broken.
