- Through the memories of women workers in Oxfordshire, their struggles and determination to stand up for both trade union and women’s rights are demonstrated. Uses archive material, including the first showing of a photographic collection of striking women textile workers in 1914 that is unique in the labour movement. Discusses the 1873 Ascott-under-Wychwood strike of the National Agricultural Union and the establishment of the Transport and General Workers Union in the Cowley car plants.
