Uses archive material, including the first showing of a photographic collection of striking women textile workers in 1914 that is unique in the labour movement. Discusses the 1873 Ascott-under-Wychwood strike of the National Agricultural Union and the establishment of the Transport and General Workers Union in the Cowley car plants.
