Synopsis
The series presents research in experimental psychology which reveals significant concepts and methods in the scientific study of behaviour. This film shows the tests with which Dr David McClelland of Harvard University sought to verify his theory that the economic growth or decline of nations is dependent to a large extent on the entrepreneurs of these nations. It depicts the need to achieve as one of a variety of phenomena studied in motivation research.
